Building upon the success of its StarBoard Series interactive presentation technologies that have made it more affordable and practical for schools, universities, government agencies and businesses to communicate more effectively, Hitachi Software today extended its line with the introduction of the StarBoard T-17SXL interactive presentation system. The T-17SXL is a compact, ergonomic, pen-driven, SXGA resolution 17-inch LCD display provided with the StarBoard Software suite of presentation and collaboration tools.

The T-17SXL raises the bar in tablet presentation technology with a 17-inch LCD display screen that boasts SXGA resolution with excellent color and contrast. The T-17SXL also has a thin screen that assures natural, accurate operation. Other technological innovations include built-in video pass-through permitting the connection of projectors and computers with the StarBoard system without requiring an external video splitting amplifier. A significant leap forward is represented by the presence of 8 hardware function buttons that permit full screen operation without requiring constant use of on-screen menus. The T-17SXL is connected to a standard PC via USB link and comes with a smoothly adjustable tilt stand.

Perhaps the most powerful innovation is the inclusion of the latest in the StarBoard suite of professional presentation and collaboration software. The StarBoard Software is experienced through an intuitive, icon-driven interface that enables presenters to easily operate in a whiteboard mode or to annotate right over Windows applications or digital video on the display. Collaboration software empowers the T-17SXL with the ability to easily communicate with other StarBoard systems and allows for simultaneous viewing and annotation by multiple systems connected either locally or across the Internet.

Limited Warranty for Hitachi StarBoard Interactive Panels
Hitachi Software Engineering America Ltd. warrants these products to be free from defects in material and workmanship under the following terms. Parts and Labor for two (2) year from the date of purchase on the StarBoard T-15XL and/or T-17SXL Interactive Panels, and the electronics within it. Parts and Labor for one (1) year from the date of purchase on the pen and cables.

Except as specified below, this warranty covers all defects in material and workmanship in the products. The following are not covered by the warranty:

1. Any product on which the serial number has been defaced, modified, or removed (if applicable).
2. Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from:
   • Accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, fire, water, lightening, or other acts of nature, unauthorized modification for any purpose, unauthorized modification or failure to follow instructions supplied with the product.
   • Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by Hitachi
   • Any damage in shipment of the product (claims must be presented to the carrier)
   • Any other cause that does not relate to a manufacturing defect.
