An interactive whiteboard is a touch-sensitive or pen driven projection screen that allows a person to control a computer directly, simply by touching the board rather than using a keyboard or mouse. This technology requires a computer, a projector and the whiteboard itself.
The computer is connected to the projector and whiteboard, and the projector displays the computer screen image on the board. As a person points at active elements on the board, using a finger or an appropriate electronic 'pen' as a mouse, the action is transmitted to the computer.
Sizes generally range from 48 – 104” diagonal. View Brands |

Copyboards are note capturing boards that can print out your dry erase notes. Many Copyboards come with the ability to save those notes to your PC via a USB cable, and some models even have USB thumb drives to save notes to. Copyboards do not require an LCD projector and can function as “stand alone” systems without the need to hook up to a computer. Sizes generally range up to 6 ft wide and most have scrolling surfaces which allow you to fill multiple pages of notes. Most are two surfaces but some boards have four and even five surfaces. Interactive Plasma and LCD are made for customers who demand the highest image quality. Sizes generally range from 30 to 65” and are either sold with “touch” integrated into the screen or you can add what is known as an “overlay” on top of the screen. Overlays are thin clear membranes that are placed on top of the plasma/LCD screen to make it interactive. Most are made for specific screens while a few from companies such as NextWindow can be used on most brands (* contact us for support on which models will be compatible with your TV.) These systems offer the same functionality as an interactive whiteboard, yet do not require a projector. View Brands |

Interactive panels are portable making them ideal for training sessions, police, fire and ambulance emergency services and military establishments for training and briefing sessions or within universities and colleges. They can also be used with some video conferencing systems.
When connected to a desktop / notebook computer and a projector, an interactive panel allows a presenter to face the audience while he or she controls, edits and annotates computer applications directly from the interactive panel. The advantages of an interactive LCD are the following:
• Light weight = Portability.
• No shadowing: Present from a desk/podium and stand to the side so there is no shadowing that is found with traditional front projection systems.
• Screen size: In a normal front projection system or plasma you are limited to the physical size of the whiteboard./screen. With a LCD panel you are only limited by the power of the projector. We set up colleges with these for lecture halls and they often go with HUGE screens, sometime 20x15ft to accommodate large audiences. View Brands |
