We were looking for a solution for our conference room; we recently expanded our room and we needed to add a microphone with sound. This lectern was in budget and went above and beyond what we needed. It includes 2 wired microphones, an amplifier with built in wireless receiver and also a wireless lavalier microphone. Testing the sound, there isn't any static, the biggest challenge is the feedback we were getting. We had to adjust the bass and treble along with the volume to get the best sound. Once we played around with it for a good 15 minutes, we got it just right. As a bonus for added esthetics is the 15" photo frame that sits in the front of the lectern. It plays videos and photos and it's not practical for us to use it for displaying charts or presentation slides, but we're using it to display our different company logos and it adds a very nice touch to our conference room. Resolution for the screen is 1600x1200 for images to fill the screen completely. It doesn't list this anywhere in the manual. As far as putting the lectern together, it's fairly simple. 6 wood pieces and some cam bolts. The biggest pain is lining them up. After that, you velcro the amp and the speakers. Piece of cake.
